Action Variable, Insert Conditional Solves Huge Problem
Action Variable, Insert Conditional Solves Huge Problem. I can’t believe i didn’t know about this. This solves a few different problems I had with actions inside Adobe Photoshop CC. Plus, a major issue when batch processing vertical and horizontal images. You have always been able to stop an action at a numerical input, but that stops the speed and flow of the action. My previous fix was to create an action for saving horizontal and one for vertical. Insert conditional solves that problem. You still have to create a horizontal and a vertical sizing and saving action, but then you create a third action which says if the it is a horizontal image use the horizontal action and if it vertical use the other which is the vertical action. Problem solved. I can’t believe how many times I overlooked this feature. I love actions and you should learn to create your own and speed up your workflow. If you download or buy actions make sure you understand how they work, because they do not work perfectly on every image. You need to adapt them in most cases.
